CALMEX® is a unique combination of two amino acids,
a pyschoactive plant extract and B-vitamins.
L-theanine: favourably influences neurotransmitter activity
in the brain, decreases noradrenaline and increases serotonin
activity. It is shown to be efficacious in reducing fearful
behaviour and is helpful in anxiety related behaviours.
L-tryptophan: a precursor of serotonin (5-HT) and has
been shown to reduce aggression, stereotypies (anxiety
induced habits) and stress responses.
Piper Methysticum: has been used for thousands of years for
anxiety disorders. It is a psychotropic plant extract with
anxiolytic, sedative and muscle relaxant effects. Trials
prove it is both safe and effective.
B Vitamins: essential to maintain function of the nervous
system and production of key neurotransmitters.
Use:
Aids relaxation in dogs experiencing anxiety or
nervousness in stressful conditions such as separation anxiety,
noise phobia (eg fireworks) or travel related fears.
Administration:
Capsules can be opened and sprinkled on food or
given whole.
Administer the dose 30-60 minutes before the desired
effect is required.
