Plaque Off contains Ascophyllum Nodosum, a seaweed that
will reduce the forming of plaque and
loosens existing plaque on dogs and cats. Developed in
Sweden and has been shown to be effective against bad
breath, plaque and tartar in just a few weeks. In trials,
it has been shown to achieve a 66% reduction in plaque
and a 46% reduction in tartar in eight weeks.
It is estimated that 85% of dogs over 3 years show signs
of gum disease, a major cause of tooth loss. Gum disease
is caused by the accumulation of plaque bacteria and is
converted to tartar by the minerals naturally occurring
in saliva, and is the prime cause of pain and foul smelling
breath.
Ascophyllum Nodosum is a natural product which counteracts
plaque on the surface of the teeth.
When they dissolve, the ingredients are absorbed into the
bloodstream and then impart to the composition of the saliva
an ability to dissolve tartar and to prevent new layers
from gaining a foothold.
