About Bruno’s Blog

I am the voice of Bruno, Jack Russell extraordinaire, one-time owner of a slightly irritating vet.

More importantly, I am The Face of Vetscriptions, I’m it’s driving force. I make him write this stuff in the hope – obviously – that you’ll read it. I used to do it whilst sitting alongside him in the chair, but now I do it more, well from a distance. He knows what to write.

For years he wanted to call his clinic ‘A Complete Animal’, thinking that the name was an amusing double entendre on his passion for holistic medicine and what his student buddies used to call him before he qualified. Luckily he didn’t go for it. One of the few sensible commercial decisions he’s ever made.

Now, years later, I am the complete animal. I represent all the Renaissance Dogs out there, who, imbued with certain charms and qualities, have a learning that goes far beyond the domain of the everyday.

What we have to say is much more important and interesting than the drivel the old man spills out on a daily basis, mainly because I have time to stop and think. I read the books, I listen in to the consultations, I work the crowd. On a conceptual level, I also manage a strict door policy (both physical and intellectual) at the clinic. Someone has to – he’d just let any old riff-raff in.
