Cardisure Tablets — Heart Disease Treatment

Cardisure tablets are prescribed for the treatment of heart disease in dogs. Available in 1.25mg, 2.5mg, 5mg and 10mg — Cardisure should only be taken when prescribed by a vet.

What Is Cardisure?

Containing the active ingredient Pimobendan, Cardisure tablets help the heart beat faster and stronger to ensure that oxygen is pumped around the body efficiently. A vet will usually prescribe Cardisure to treat heart failure in dogs and improve and prolong their life. Never administer Cardisure without a prescription from your vet.

How Is Cardisure Administered?

As well as being prescribed in doses of 1.25mg, 2.5mg, 5mg and 10mg — Cardisure tablets are scored on their surface to make it easier to break into smaller doses. You must only ever give the dosage prescribed by your vet. Cardisure should be given on an empty stomach to aid the body’s absorption of the medication. Each tablet is flavoured to make them more enjoyable for your dog.

What Are the Side Effects of Cardisure?

The side effects of Cardisure are mild but can include lethargy, lack of appetite, vomiting and diarrhoea.  The side effects can often be dose-dependent so if you notice any of these, speak to your vet immediately.

Once Cardisure is prescribed, the treatment is usually lifelong. If you notice a decline in your dog's health, contact your vet as soon as possible.

How Do I Order Cardisure Online?

A registered vet must prescribe Cardisure. You can download a Vetscriptions Prescription form here. Once this is completed, you can upload it when you purchase Cardisure from Vetscriptions and make a saving of 40%.
