Rheumocam Equine Oral Suspension 15mg/ml is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) containing meloxicam, designed specifically for use in horses. It is used to alleviate pain and inflammation associated with musculoskeletal disorders such as lameness, sprains, joint issues, and soft tissue injuries.

With its apple-flavoured palatable liquid formulation, Rheumocam makes daily administration easy and well-tolerated by most horses. It helps restore mobility and improve the quality of life in horses suffering from acute or chronic musculoskeletal conditions.

Active Ingredient:

• Meloxicam 15mg/ml

Indications:

• Relief of inflammation and pain in both acute and chronic musculoskeletal disorders

• Suitable for use in:

  • Lameness

  • Tendonitis

  • Joint inflammation

  • Post-operative pain

Dosage and Administration:

• Initial dose: 0.6 mg meloxicam per kg bodyweight, given orally once on the first day (equivalent to 0.04 ml/kg)

• Maintenance dose: 0.3 mg/kg (0.02 ml/kg) once daily, if continued

• Use dosing syringe provided for accurate measurement

• Administer directly into the horse’s mouth or mixed with a small amount of food

• Always follow your vet’s specific dosing instructions

Cautions and Contraindications:

• Do not use in horses under 6 weeks of age

• Not for use in pregnant or lactating mares

• Do not use in animals with impaired liver, heart, or kidney function

• Avoid use in cases of known hypersensitivity to NSAIDs

• Not to be used in conjunction with other NSAIDs or corticosteroids

• Observe appropriate withdrawal period before competition (as advised by your vet)
