Rheumocam Oral Suspension 0.5mg/ml is a prescription-only, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) formulated specifically for cats. It contains meloxicam, a well-known NSAID used to alleviate pain and reduce inflammation associated with musculoskeletal disorders and post-operative recovery in felines.

This oral liquid is carefully dosed for cats, making it an effective and convenient way to manage pain, stiffness, or swelling due to injuries or chronic conditions like arthritis. Its palatable formulation ensures easy administration, even for fussy pets.

Indications:

• Chronic musculoskeletal disorders such as feline osteoarthritis

• Acute musculoskeletal injuries (sprains, soft tissue trauma)

• Post-operative inflammation and pain, particularly following orthopaedic or soft tissue surgery

Dosage and Administration:

• Initial dose (Day 1): 0.2mg meloxicam per kg bodyweight (0.4 ml/kg)

• Maintenance dose (from Day 2): 0.05mg/kg bodyweight (0.1 ml/kg) once daily

• Shake well before use

• Administer orally using the dosing syringe provided

• Always give with or after food, and follow your vet’s instructions carefully

Cautions and Contraindications:

• Do not use in cats under 6 weeks of age or weighing less than 2kg

• Not for use in pregnant or lactating cats

• Avoid use in cats with pre-existing liver, kidney, or heart disease

• Do not administer with other NSAIDs or corticosteroids

• Stop treatment and contact your vet if you notice vomiting, diarrhoea, loss of appetite, or lethargy
